Eng. Mostafa Elrakhawy is a Chemical Engineer and an experienced strategy and projects leader with more than 15 years of international experience across North America, Asia, Europe, Africa, the GCC and the Middle East. Throughout his career in the cement and industrial sectors, he has combined technical expertise, strategic thinking and project leadership to support complex business transformation, investment and decarbonization initiatives.
At A³&Co., Mostafa plays a leading role in the development and delivery of major strategic and decarbonization projects across multiple markets worldwide. His work spans the full project lifecycle—from baseline assessment and opportunity identification through technology evaluation, roadmap development, pre-investment studies and implementation planning—helping cement producers translate sustainability and business ambitions into technically viable and commercially grounded actions.
Mostafa has extensive hands-on experience with A³&Co.’s Complete Decarbonization Solution (CDS®), supporting the development of integrated pathways that address carbon reduction alongside operational performance and cost competitiveness. His project experience covers decarbonization technology roadmaps, carbon and energy performance assessments, alternative solutions evaluation, process optimization and the assessment of emerging technologies required to support the transition toward lower-carbon cement production.
His expertise also extends to the evolving carbon and sustainability requirements shaping international cement markets. He has worked on Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) readiness and reporting, Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), emissions baselining and transparency, and strategic assessments supporting producers in responding to increasingly demanding regulatory and market requirements.
Beyond decarbonization, Mostafa brings significant experience in greenfield and brownfield projects, pre-investment and feasibility-related studies, business growth strategies, operations and maintenance, process optimization, automation, digital maturity and risk management. This multidisciplinary background enables him to assess projects not only from a technical perspective, but also through their investment, operational and long-term business implications.
